Business visit of the partner from India - President of Cosmos Group Anil K. Agarwal

On April 23, the partner of the IMBRICS Plus Business Communications Foundation and President of Cosmos Group Anil K. Agarwal, Republic of India, visited St. Petersburg. He started his co-operation with the IMBRICS Foundation back in 2023, when he participated as a speaker in the jubilee V International Municipal BRICS Forum.

Within the framework of the trip, Mr. Anil K. Agarwal met with Sergey Markov, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg, and Vyacheslav Kalganov, Deputy Chairman of the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg. Mikhail Cherepanov, Chairman of the IMBRICS Organising Committee and Mikhail Sverdlov, Director of the IMBRICS Foundation, attended the meeting on behalf of the Organising Committee for the preparation and holding of the VII IMBRICS Forum.

The parties discussed the development of co-operation in the field of construction using the latest technologies, import and distribution of pharmaceutical products from India, cultural exchange between Russia and India, as well as the possibility of establishing joint ventures in the special economic zones (SEZ) in St. Petersburg. There was also a discussion on the formation of a delegation of entrepreneurs from India for the upcoming IMBRICS Forum.

"We are actively working on attracting delegations, as of today we already have 37 partners for India, including Mr. Anil K Agarwal. Today we have discussed a number of issues that will contribute to the arrival of a large number of delegates from India to the VII IMBRICS Forum, which will be held on November 20-21, 2025, in St. Petersburg. We are confident that the systematic work with Mr. Anil K. Agarwal will contribute to the solution of his company's strategic objectives through the organisation of many negotiations with our Russian partners by the IMBRICS Foundation. I am glad that Mr. Anil visited St. Petersburg at our invitation and has already met and discussed various projects with many future participants of our Forum," said Mikhail Cherepanov, Chairman of the IMBRICS Organising Committee.
